These are well made and nicely finished slings. I do reccomend the padded version for heavier walnut stocked rifles during the longer hikes in the early fall over lighter clothing. The supplied style of Chicago screws have screwdriver slots on both sides which can "chew" on the stocks during transport in cases, simple to replace with the smooth on one side versions.
